Only momentarily out of bondage

Like millions of others, I was momentarily distressed by the sudden demise of Wealth Bondage. But before long, liberated from the strictures of The Happy Tutor, I felt confident enough to post about low subjects such as Tim Tam biscuits and ecclesiastical sex scandals. Reports just in suggest I may have relaxed my guard too soon. A new regime has set up camp in the ashes of the Wealth Bondage building and—under the leadership of Captain Blowtorch—is conducting an investigation:

We note with interest that Wealth Bondage had an extensive Blogroll, consisting of certain leading citizens in Bloggerville who it seems frequented this Bordello. These coconspirators may expect a visit from our representatives. When? Let them sweat. We know who you are and where you are. We are simply seeking information, at this point. Now efforts must concentrate on the Ringleaders, the Tutor and Minim, lest they spread evil in our land.

My name (actually, that of a former incarnation) is on this Blogroll. Should I trust that Captain Blowtorch will not recognize me or that he will be lenient (since I was a recent addition)? Or should I pray instead that the Tutor and his assistant, Mr Dick Minim, will prevail and that I will be allowed to return to my role as an unassuming youth seeking instruction with humility, by which means I certainly hope to gain good fortune.

That's me -- I'm surprised you've taken this long to realize it...

Is this an Aussie term for something else maybe?
