Rack of lamb
Victor’s life as a country squire gathers momentum: the expectant ewe gave birth last night to two beautiful little lambs. According to Rachel [age 7] they are “just like toy ones.” The lambs are yet to be named.
In the meantime, I’ve placed an order for some lamb chops.

However, after deeper thought, careful consideration, including a admission of understanding of where those little packets of meat in the supermarket come from, and remembering that Victor is now living on a farm, my second reaction is: gah!
