New Year’s Resolutions
Though I’d fallen out of the habit of making New Year’s resolutions, Mark Pilgrim’s ardent, purposeful choices inspired me to reflect upon what I hope to achieve in 2003. Here are my resolutions:
- Write about things that are closer to my heart
- Photograph thoughtfully, as I used to
- Live each day with passion and commitment
- Improve my Japanese reading skills so that, by year’s end, I’ll be reading more in Japanese than in English
- Move to a new hosting service (so I can upgrade to MT 2.5)
- Disable comments in my weblog (done).
I have disabled comments but only as a temporary step in transitioning to the new hosting service. I needed to freeze the weblog in order to simplify the export-import process.
I’ll make the switch within the next couple of days. (I had hoped to do this in the period between Christmas and New Year but everything took twice as long as I’d anticipated.) If anyone has any suggestions regarding the changeover or hints as to how I can make it less stressful, I’d be grateful if you could email me.
It may go dark here for a while but hopefully that won’t last too long.
